Any Environment Decals: We Manufacture Decals For Outdoor And Indoor Use With Life Expectation Ranging From 2 Years To 12 Years, Depending On The Surface, And Each Application’s Desired Intention To Last (Client Has To Inform Us How Long They Want The Decals To Stay On, And We Will Try To Find A Suitable Media; In All Cases, Longer Lasting Material Is Considerably More Expensive Than The One Used For Short-Term Applications.)
Our Products Are Meant To Withstand The Weather Elements: Decals Produced By CSB Are Waterproof And Typically Not Fade Before The Expiration Of Their Life Expectation. For All Outdoor Destined Decals (Except When Client Declines The Option Due To Budgetary Reasons), We Apply A UV Resistant Over Lamination, Which Extends Considerably Their Durability. UV Laminated Decals Are Much More Scratch-Resistant Than If They Didn’t Have That Added Clear Layer, Which Is As Thick As The Print Vinyl Layer Itself (2 – 3.5 Mil). Rest Assured, Our Lower Priced, Standard, Non-Laminated, Decals Are Waterproof, And Will Work If The Decals Application Is Right For Them (I.E. If There Is No Scrubbing, Rubbing Pressure Washing, Constant Touching, Etc).

Calgary Decals, Labels And Printed Vinyl (read more)
CSB services a niche local market that focuses on quality products that are highly customized. From small decals used by local aviation companies, decals which are in compliance with the norms in place, to large decals used by companies in Alberta that manufacture and supply various equipment such as tanks, trailers, skids, enclosures, modular structures, etc. to Western Canada's ever-growing Industry of Oil and Gas, the decals manufactured by CSB are always regarded as reliable, resilient, and reasonably priced (the three R-s). “Decal” and “Sticker” - as terms - have been used interchangeably, but what sets the difference between the two are the manufacturing process and the affixing method: vinyl-cut decals are supplied with a (pre) masking sheet which holds usually multiple pieces together, and which (pre) masking tape/sheet comes off upon installing the decal, leaving only the contour-cut letters and shapes on the substrate. In comparison, stickers are simpler: there is the layer with the graphics on the face (typically printed) and which has adhesive on the back, and there is the backing paper treated with a release coat (the latter together with the paper are typically referred to as the “release liner”). The main layer is peeled (removed) from its backing paper, and directly applied onto the desired surface, after ensuring the latter is dust-free and oil-clean. From a material standpoint, the lettering and logos in decals can be either cut vinyl or printed vinyl + contour cut. "Cut-vinyl" material comes as solid colors (vinyl can be calendared or cast, and the color choices offered by the manufacturers are generous) in rolls with the width ranging from 15" to 60", and roll lengths typically being 150 ft. "Printed vinyl" media is clear or white (before printing), and comes in rolls with most common sizes being 54" and 60” wide x 150 ft long. From the adhesive perspective, media can come with removable adhesive (characterized by lower tackiness, but clean removability from receiving surface), or permanent adhesive (characterized by high tackiness to the receiving surface, and not easy removability, with potential glue residue left which need to be further cleaned with special chemical products such as “Goof-Off”). Another distinction is made based on the adhesive base substance, and the main two types offered are: vinyl media with water-based adhesive, and vinyl media with solvent adhesive. The printer inks which will penetrate the vinyl during the printing process are specially formulated using solvents which "melt" the droplets into the media layer making prints durable, waterproof, more UV resistant, and more resilient to abrasion than if using water-based inks.
