Box-type signage for businesses and institutions: we developed a retail (direct to end user) and wholesale (to other signs shops) operation to meet all our clients' needs.
Light box signs come with translucent faces with full digital colour prints, which can have unlimited number of colors, photos, text etc, all laminated with UV protective film.
Lightboxes are typically outdoor signs installed on the building fascia or on the bulkhead, often using a crane due to their weight and size, and fastening is done with long screws.
In time (after approx. 10 years) the graphics start fading, plus the wind loads and other weather events can cause the plastic to crack or break, thus we do a lot of sign face changes.
CSB installs light box signs in Calgary, Airdrie, Cochrane, Okotoks, Bragg Creek, Chestermere, Strathmore, High River, Red Deer, Canmore, and Banff.
CSB manufactures "light box" or "lightbox" or "cabinet" signs. These interchangeable names refer to a cuboid parallelepiped-shaped illuminated sign comprised of a sheet metal can with a frame that holds a plastic sheet (called "lens").
The frame is made of extruded aluminum profile, so that the plastic sheet can slide in and out when replacement or service is required.
The face is a large sheet of translucent plastic (acrylic or polycarbonate, most notorious brand names being Plexiglas and Lexan, respectively), which is covered by the graphics (also translucent) manufactured either by printing blank vinyl media in full color, or by cutting factory supplied solid color vinyl.
Illumination is done using of LED modules or fluorescent lighting placed on the back of can, opposite to face, and the light travels through the face (the plastic sheet with graphics).
CSB is a solution provider in the outdoor illuminated cabinet signage spectrum, and our services include manufacturing of new products, re-facing of existing light box signs for new tenants moving in existing spaces, and lighting repairs. All work is done right and on time.
